Working a wine harvest is equal parts grit and glory. But with the right gear, a few strategic snacks, and some immune-defense hacks, you can go from barely hanging on to actually thriving.

Working your first wine harvest can be exciting, exhilarating, and downright daunting.

Wearing appropriate clothing on day one is super important - both to ensure your safety and comfort while working in (literally) and around the winery equipment, and also to give you a small amount of street cred as a first-time vineyard hand.

So you’re working your first wine harvest! You’re excited and doe-eyed and can’t wait to (figuratively, hopefully) get in there and stomp those grapes with your bare feet. If you Google “wine harvest attire” it will return a plethora of semi-useless results. Take some lessons from me, a current first time harvest cellar worker, and learn from my infinite wisdom aka all the mistakes that I made in packing.
